The latest comScore stats for desktop search engines as of Jan 2016 (www.comscore.com) shows that Google continues to dominate with 63.8% of the market share with 11.2 billion searches (unchanged since Dec 2015). Bing increased a couple tenths to 21.3% with 3.7 billion searches, while Yahoo remained steady at 12.4% with 2.2 billion searches. Ask.com increased a tenth, to 1.7% of the market share, while AOL declined to 0.9%. As for overall Media Properties, Google sites also ranks #1, followed by Facebook, Yahoo sites, Microsoft sites and Amazon sites ranking among the top 5. Be sure to include at least the top engines as part of your overall marketing mix strategy to reach your target audience!
